A new list ranks Houston as the most prosperous city in the United States.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics compared five years of data from the private sector employment of 100 cities.

The Bayou City came in at No. 1 for adding 109,000 private sector jobs in those five years.

Three other Texas cities also made the top five -- Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio.
