A homeless man was run over, possibly by an 18-wheeler driver, as he slept on a curb in southeast Houston, police said.
Houston police said the man was sleeping on the Gulf Freeway and Scott Street around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Investigators said a vehicle, possibly an 18-wheeler trailer, ran over him.
The vehicle that hit him did not stop, officials said.
Officials said there was a lot of construction in the area, which would have made it difficult to see the man.
The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious but stable condition.
