Deputies need help to solve a string of rapes in north Harris County.

Harris County said seven attacks since September 2011 all have the same pattern.

All of the victims have been young, Hispanic women who work for escort services. The attacker had dates set up with his victims and met them at deserted apartments, where he beat and raped them.

"This particular suspect isn't picking people at random," Lt. Ruben Diaz said. "His motive is to find people online and set these dates up, so he's got specific victims in mind. He's targeting these types of people."

Investigators said a woman called the escort service to set up the dates. Detectives said the victims were found through Craigslist and online sex sites.

Deputies said the attacks happened at the following locations:

Three different victims gave investigators three different descriptions of the attacker, investigators said. They said it's possible that two men are involved.

One victim described her attacker as black, in his mid 30s and 5 feet 5 inches tall. Another described her attacker as black, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing an earring in his right ear. A third victim described her attacker at 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall with a mustache and a beard.

"We think we're dealing with only one suspect, but we suspect he may have a helper," Diaz said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
