HOUSTON -

A man stabbed his nephew after an argument broke out in northwest Houston, police said.

At 1 a.m. on Friday, investigators said a man and his nephew were sitting at a picnic table in the middle of their apartment complex on Hammerly Boulevard and Shadowdale Drive.

The uncle and nephew were drinking when a fight broke out, according to reports.  During the course of the argument, the uncle stabbed his nephew twice in the back.

The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious but stable condition.

HPD is currently looking for the uncle, who fled the scene.
