A Houston police officer was hospitalized after a driver ran a stop sign and T-boned a officer's patrol unit, investigators said.
Houston police said the driver ran the stop sign at the intersection of Crane Street and Broyles Street about 10 p.m. Thursday.
The car hit a police officer's patrol unit on the driver's side, officials said. The patrol unit was pushed into a wooden pole, police said.
The officer was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
The driver of the car was taken into custody and may face charges, according to Houston Police.
