Four people were arrested after an officer noticed an Uzi inside a car in southwest Houston.

Investigators said the officer pulled over the black car in the 9800 block of Westpark Drive and Ade Street at 2:30 a.m. and spotted the weapon.

After several Houston police patrol units and constables arrived, four people were taken into custody and the vehicle was searched.

Investigators said they do not know why the suspects didn't even try to hide the Uzi.

Charges are pending.

The suspects' names were not released.
