HISD: Several students at school sat on crates

As thousands of students returned to the classroom one school was not completely ready for all of the students.

HISD reported that several children at Billy Reagan K-8 Education Center had to sit on crates Monday morning until additional desks could be brought in.

The education center is a new school.

School administrators said they had more students than they anticipated.

The district said all students at the campus have desks as of Monday afternoon.
