HOUSTON -

A man has been arrested in connection with several fires.

Houston Fire Department officials said Jacob Colvy Garvin, 25, has admitted to setting 15 separate fires in the Houston area.

Investigators said surveillance video from a tire shop in the 3500 block of Old Spanish Trail captured images of Garvin setting fire to the shop on May 1.

Garvin is also believed to be responsible for fires at the Dolce Vita restaurant in the 500 block of Westheimer on May 5 and at an apartment complex leasing office in the 6100 block of LaSalette on May 3, investigators said.

Detectives said there have not been any reported injuries as a result of the fires.

Officials said the majority of fires Garvin admitted to setting were in Dumpsters.
