HOUSTON -

Google wants to check out what you do online and is willing to pay you for it. The project is called "Screenwise."

The search engine is offering users $5 gift cards to Amazon.com for installing an extension on its Chrome browser.

Users will get another $5 every three months.

Each participant can earn up to $25. To be eligible, you must be 13 or older, have a Google account, and be ready to use the Google Chrome browser.

Google said it wants to see where users go online and how they use the web in order to improve its products.

Currently, Google's Screenwise landing page is directing visitors to come back later for more details.
