Girl, 6, Calls 911 After Being Left Alone With Baby

A mother was arrested after she allegedly left two of her children alone in an apartment Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables said Clara Villanueva, 34, was arrested after a disturbing call came in to 911.
"The 6-year-old called 911 and said something to the effect of her mother didn't have time for them," Capt. Mark Herman said.
Deputy constables said they rushed to the apartment off Windfern Road and found the 6-year-old girl and her 1-year-old sister inside without supervision.
"It's really not good judgment to leave a 6-year-old alone," said Herman. "Much less with a 1-year-old."
"I think it's very bad," said neighbor Laura Valdez, who has two children of her own. "They're small. They don't know what's going on. They could easily turn on the stove or swallow bleach or get into whatever."
KPRC Local 2 talked to Villanueva's 15-year-old daughter, who was not home when her sisters were found.
"Everybody's OK," said the teenager.
She said Villanueva is a good mom.
"She'll do anything for us," the teen said. "What happened today, she made a mistake and somebody panicked. But she never did anything to hurt us, so everything's good."
Villanueva was charged with two counts of child abandonment.
Chile Protective Services said they are investigating the case and will ultimately decide who will get custody of the girls.
