A 13-year-old Sugar Land-area girl was kidnapped when she was forced into a pickup truck outside her church.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said the girl was at the Cornerstone Assembly of God church in the 2500 block of Eldridge on Dec. 9 when she walked outside to use her cellphone and three men in a truck stopped and forced her inside the vehicle.
The victim said she fought with her abductors and they eventually pushed her out of the truck while it was still moving in the 2200 block of Eldridge. A passing motorist spotted the girl in a ditch and called 911. The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The girl said she could only describe two of her attackers.
One of them was a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build and wavy, bleached-blond hair. The man had light brown skin with a nose piercing. The second suspect was a Hispanic male about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He has dark hair, a mustache and a goatee.
The vehicle was a red four-door Ford pickup truck with tinted windows.
A $5,000 reward is being offered in the case. Call the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at 281-341-4665 or Fort Bend Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477) with any information. Tips also can be submitted online at www.fortbend-tx-crimestoppers.org.
