Gas prices drop 7 cents in Texas
AAA says Texas retail gasoline prices fall 7 cents this week, national average down a nickel
Retail gasoline prices across Texas continue to fall with a 7-cent drop this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump slipped to $3.23 per gallon. Gasoline prices nationwide also declined, falling a nickel to settle at $3.46 per gallon.
The association survey found that El Paso has the most expensive gasoline statewide at $3.38 per gallon. Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline at $3.14 per gallon.
AAA says power outages and distribution issues after Hurricane Sandy led to long lines at some gas stations in New York and New Jersey in the past week. The association says once electricity is restored there should be more than adequate gasoline supplies ready for delivery.
