A Friendswood man has been arrested and charged with possession and promotion of child pornography.

After a several months-long investigation that began in August of 2011, investigators, armed with a search warrant, searched Julian Moya III's Friendswood apartment.

During the search, officials said they seized the 38-year-old's computer, which was later determined to have several hundred illegal images.

A warrant was then issued for Moya's arrest.

Officials said a Friendswood officer spotted Moya at a bank and pulled him over on a traffic stop at Blackhawk and F.M. 528 in Friendswood. Moya was then taken into custody without incident, officials said.

Moya's bond was set at $120,000.
