Flights from east coast heading to Texas
Travelers stuck after sandy, now returning home
Houstonians stranded in the northeast are finally returning to the Lone Star State. The first flights since Superstorm Sandy struck the east coast are landing in Houston.
"The scene was total disaster, trees down everywhere, street lights hanging on," said Ratha Todd.
"Returning from Philadelphia we were stuck for three days, longer than we were supposed to be," said Lynn Hertzberg.
Sandy forced the airlines to cancel thousands of flights, leaving tens of thousands of passengers stuck around the country.
Because there are still so many canceled flights, it is best to check with the airline before you head to the airport.
