The forecast for the official start to the fall season is still on track to be fantastic!
With the mid-week front bringing temperatures slightly below normal, a secondary front coming through over the weekend may serve to reinforce the cool air and delay any kind of return to more summer-like conditions.
Temperatures during the second half of the week should top out in the mid to upper 80s, with very low humidity levels. Low humidity translates to low morning temperatures, too, so we'll wake up to temperatures from the upper 50s to the mid 60s away from the immediate coast.
The big question in the current forecast is the front that is expected to drop into the Gulf Coast region by Sunday. It will certainly bring a reinforcement of cooler air to Mississippi, Alabama and northern Florida, but will it push noticeably cooler air into southeast Texas? The scenario where the front does push into the area is looking less likely than it did a day ago, but the chances are still decent. We'll keep a close eye on the forecast for you and keep you up to speed!
