It's being called the 2012 Great Warrant Round-Up. Starting Feb. 25, there will be increased attention from more than 60 police agencies throughout Texas looking for you if you have an outstanding warrant.
Between now and the 25the is the perfect time to call, go online or show up in person to take care of that outstanding or unresolved ticket.
Judge Maria Casanova, the associate presiding judge of the Houston Municipal Courts joins host Khambrel Marshall to talk about why the "Great Warrant Roundup" is warranted, how you can find out if you have an outstanding warrant and the steps you can take to get it or them resolved.
Bruce Vincent, the president of Swift Energy joins Khambrel to talk about why the gas prices are going up and how much higher they are likely to go. He also sheds light on the role the independent petroleum producers play in the search for oil in this country and the challenges of they face in drilling in a responsible way.
Celebrating Black History Month, Khambrel takes you on a tour of the African-American Museum at the Gregory School in Freedmen's town in Houston's Fourth Ward. It was Houston's first African American community made up of newly freed slaves. The Gregory School that houses the museum was built in 1926 and has been totally restored as the home of this one of a kind collection of Houston African-American pictures and artifacts.
