HOUSTON -

Part of a busy Houston freeway was closed Thursday because of a fatal wreck.

Houston police said a van rear-ended an 18-wheeler in the eastbound lanes of the North Loop near Jensen about 4 p.m.

Police have not released any information about the person who died.

Most of the eastbound lanes were expected to be closed for several hours while police investigated the wreck.
