A family escaped from their burning northeast Harris County home early Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to the home on Suburban and Furay at around 2:15 a.m.

Firefighters said heavy smoke was found coming from the one-story home's attic when they arrived.

Crews were able to make a fast attack and get the fire out quickly.

Firefighters said the blaze was likely sparked by an electrical issue.
