Officials: Bank robber gets away with less than $100
The FBI is searching for a bank robber they've dubbed the 'Abe Lincoln bandit.'
About 11:30 a.m. Saturday, investigators said a man with an unusually long black beard walked into the Wells Fargo Bank on Scarsdale and Highlands Meadows Drive in southeast Harris County and handed a teller a note demanding cash.
Investigators said he then lifted his shirt and revealed a gun in his waistband.
After getting less than $100, officials said the bandit took off on foot.
The robber is described as a white man, 5'9'' to 5'11'' tall, weighing anywhere from 180 to 210 pounds with dark, brown hair and a dark, brown beard. He was wearing a dark cap and a dark shirt with white stripes.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
