A Southeast Texas woman who exchanged hundreds of calls and text messages with a 13-year-old boy faces up to life in prison for having sex with him.

Prosecutors say 33-year-old Natalie Johnson of Diboll pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated sexual assault of a child.

A judge in Lufkin has set an April 30 sentencing date.

Prosecutors say Johnson has been in custody since her arrest last August after allegedly having sex several times with the boy. He had been staying with his grandparents in Diboll. Police say the sexual activity happened at a park and at Johnson's apartment.

Cell phone records show more than 1,500 messages between Johnson and the child, who met at the home of one of his other relatives.

Diboll is 105 miles northeast of Houston.
