Police need help finding a driver who hit a pedestrian and kept going.

Houston police said Margaret Smallwood was walking in the 7100 block of South Gessner about 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 14 and tried to cross the street.

A gold Chevrolet Silverado hit Smallwood in the middle of the street, investigators said.

The driver did not stop, officials said.

Smallwood was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
