HOUSTON -

Deputies and firefighters worked together to save a man who ended up in a southeast Harris County ditch early Sunday morning.

Deputies said it was unclear how the driver lost control, but his large profile, red vehicle flipped along Almeda Road near Broadhurst Drive.

The vehicle overturned into in a ditch full of water. The force of the impact caused the roof of the vehicle to cave in.

Deputies extricated the man using the Jaws of Life and water gear.

Officials have not released the man's condition.
