A driver was hospitalized Wednesday after an accident in southeast Houston.

The accident happened around 12 a.m. Police said a driver traveling north on Highway 288 lost control and drove into a grassy embankment, causing the car to hit some trees before rolling over.

The driver was hospitalized in stable condition, according to police.

Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor.

The driver's name was not released.
