A loud noise may be heard coming from the Dow Chemical plant over the next few days, but officials said not to worry.

The subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company was scheduled to perform integrity management work on one of its pipeline facilities in Baytown.

The company said the work required workers to push air through the pipes, which could make some loud sounds.

Officials said it was needed so that workers can then go inside to check the pipelines.
