A 118-pound Bull Mastiff made headlines after doctors removed a 3-inch knife from her stomach. 

The dog, named Bean, ate the knife while gobbling up a one-pound wheel wedge of Brie cheese.

"She ate a whole wheel of cheese.  The plastic that it was wrapped in -- she ate everything," said Sean Bearte, Bean's owner. "I didn't know a dog could eat a whole knife. I looked for it under the cushions of the couch, underneath the couch and underneath the rugs, but I knew she'd eaten it."

Doctors at Angell Animal Medical Center performed surgery to remove the knife. 

Bean is almost back to normal, with only a bit of shaved patches on her legs.  Her doctors said she'll make a full recovery.
