A Harris County Precinct 2 deputy constable has been relieved of his duties.

The deputy, who works patrol out of the Beamer Road and Scarsdale Boulevard office in southeast Houston, is under investigation for an alleged sexual assault case.

The deputy was working off-duty at an apartment complex last Thursday when the assault reportedly took place, officials said.

The constable's office said it is not releasing details of the case or the deputy's name.
