Deputy Constable Accused Of Fondling Woman
Christopher Kerr Was With Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office
A Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constable has been fired after a woman complained he fondled her during a traffic stop.
Investigators said a 28-year-old woman said Deputy Constable Christopher Kerr stopped her on Beltway 8 near John Ralston on an outstanding traffic warrant.
She claimed that, while she was handcuffed, Kerr touched her inappropriately.
The traffic stop lasted about 30 minutes, but there is not any record of it, detectives said. Investigators said the video of the incident was erased from the camera in Kerr's patrol car.
Harris County Precinct 3 Constable Ken Jones fired Kerr on Friday. Kerr had been fired from the same office for what Jones described as a minor policy violation, but he was rehired in January.
KPRC stopped by Kerr's home on Wednesday for comment, but he was not available.
No criminal charges have been filed in this case, but that could change.
Precinct 3 has opened an internal affairs investigation, and those investigators have been in touch with the district attorney's civil affairs division.
