Deputies search for hit-and-run suspect
Man arrested, released because of Toyota brake problems

Texas state troopers and Montgomery County sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who is again facing charges in a fatal hit-and-run crash.
On Aug. 28, 2009, Christopher Youngblood was riding his motorcycle when he stopped on Road 242 near Gosling and was hit.
Youngblood, 44, was transported to St. Lukes Hospital, where he died.

Deputies said they arrested Jorge Guajardo in connection with the crash after he failed a field sobriety test. The case report stated that Guajardo blew 0.13 at the scene of the accident, approaching twice the legal limit of .08.
However, the charges were later dropped.
The night of the crash, Guajardo was driving a Toyota Camry. At the time, Toyota was facing problems with its brakes.
"Obviously, those two positions would be inconsistent. If it was a braking issue and the vehicle would be at fault, then it could perhaps relieve Mr. Guajardo of criminal liabity," said Brett Ligon, the Montgomery County District's Attorney.
Analysis of the Camry's black box, a standard in newer cars, showed that the driver never touched the brakes.
The D.A.'s office refiled the charge of intoxication manslaughter, but Guajardo has since disappeared.
State troopers said Guajardo moved to Mexico after the original charges were dropped, but frequently returns to Texas where he has family.
Anyone with information regarding Guajardo's whereabouts is asked to call Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-STOP.
