Deputies: Homeowner shoots at burglar

A homeowner shot at a man he said tried to break into his home in northwest Harris County Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Morgensen near Zada Park.

Deputies said the homeowner shot at the suspect as he attempted to run away from the scene to a nearby 1997 white Lincoln Town Car.

According to deputies, the suspect was shot once in the leg, but managed to drive himself to a nearby convenience store. From there, the suspect was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in good condition, authorities said.
