HOUSTON -

Harris County deputies are searching for the driver they say hit and killed a woman early Saturday morning.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. along Highway 249 near TC Jester in northwest Harris County, authorities said.

Investigators said the driver hit and killed the 24-year-old woman, then took off. Deputies said the driver was driving a red truck, but they don't know the make or model of the vehicle.
