HOUSTON -

One person was killed and another was wounded in a shooting during an apparent drug deal in northwest Harris County.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said the shooting happened on Crescent Moon Drive near Lazy Meadows about 1:20 a.m. Friday.

"I heard three shots," neighbor Greg Hines said.

Investigators said friends drove both of the victims to the hospital before 911 was called.

Joshua Edward Durance, 22, was killed, investigators said. Benjamin Vasquez, 19, is expected to survive his wound.

Detectives said Durance and Vasquez had gone to the home to buy marijuana.

Investigators said Steven James Sebring, 19, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.

Hines said the neighborhood is normally very quiet.

"It's never happened before," he said. "I've lived here 20 years now. This has never happened, so that's why it's concerning."
