Crooks steal $50,000 from Houston beauty store
Some crooks went to great lengths to steal thousands of dollars worth of merchandise at a beauty store in Houston, police said.
The crooks were caught on surveillance video at the Beauty Spot on Antoine, crawling on the floor to avoid setting off motion detectors. They then used sticks to knock off hair extensions from the shelves.
The owner, Jay Youm, said the crooks had their work cut out for them just to get inside the store.
"They tunneled through two walls and one steel door," said Youm. "And before that, they came through two wire fences. So yeah, they went through a lot."
Youm estimated the crooks got away with around $50,000 worth of merchandise.
