WEST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -

Two men robbed a family after forcing them into a closet Monday, according to authorities.

The crime happened in the 2200 block of Shelby Park in West Harris County.

Deputies said two men, a woman, and a 10-year-old boy were home when two black males broke in through the front door.

Investigators said the 10-year-old saw the men and ran to a neighbor to get help. In the meantime, the men forced the family into a closet while they ransacked their home. Authorities said the men stole money, a purse, license plates and the owner's black BMW.

The car was later recovered in George Bush Park.

Deputies said both of the men were wearing bandanas over their faces and blue jeans. One was wearing a white hoodie and the other one had a black hoodie.

The suspects are still on the loose. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
