HOUSTON -

Strong storms caused traffic trouble across the Houston area on Thursday.

Two eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Normandy were blocked for a while after water became too high.

The storms began in the morning, tapered off for a bit and then flared back up just in time for the evening rush hour.

Storms were expected throughout the evening, and Friday could be wet, too. There's a 50 percent chance of rain.
