An Iraqi and Afghan combat veteran has been charged with human trafficking and sexual assault of a child after he was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and turning her into a stripper and prostitute.

Fort Worth police say Nathan Tatarko drove up to the girl outside a shopping mall, where she accepted his offer of a ride. Police Sgt. Pedro Criado tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the 30-year-old Fort Worth man served her alcohol, had sex with her and had her strip and have sex for money.

Police found the girl in a car with Tatarko during an Aug. 13 traffic stop and rescued her. He's booked into the Mansfield City Jail with bond set at $200,000. No attorney is listed in his online jail record.
