Fire Broke Out At Syntech Chemicals In Pearland

A fire at a chemical plant was contained after firefighters used foam to put it out.
The fire started around 12:45 a.m. Monday at Syntech Chemicals on Hopper Road near Riley Road in Pearland.
Firefighters said a few tanks with non-hazardous chemicals burned.
Within 30 minutes, firefighters had the fire extinguished by using foam.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
