Houston Police are investigating a major accident that sent three people to the hospital on Saturday in southwest Houston.

The accident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on the Southwest Freeway and Fondren Road.

Police said the car flipped off the freeway and onto the feeder road before smashing into a light pole.

Firefighters used the jaw of life to rescue the driver and one passenger from the vehicle.

Another passenger was thrown from the vehicle onto the road.

There is no word yet on the condition of the people in that vehicle or what caused the crash.
