HOUSTON -

Residents who live in Midtown are being warned about an armed robbery.

The victim, Brian Pearce, was on his way home around 11:30p.m., when a group of six men confronted him while he was trying to parallel park his car on Valentine Street between West Gray and Webster.

"Immediately they started yelling out the window that I hit their car.  I was with multiple people in my car and we knew I did not hit them," said Brian Pearce.  "When I knew something was out of the ordinary was when they asked me for $40 and they said everything would be okay."

Pearce said the next thing he knew the men surrounded him, pushed him down and pulled out a gun.

He said they aimed the gun at his chest and demanded his wallet and iPhone.   The suspects then took off in a white Chevy Impala.

"The whole thing happened very quickly," said Pearce.

Pearce was not hurt and neither were the people who were with him that night, including his girlfriend.

The apartment complex where he lives near Valentine Street in Midtown sent out a notice to residents letting them know about the robbery and urging them to call 911 if they see anyone in the neighborhood acting suspicious.

"I had heard from another police officer that they've heard of this before," he said.

Pearce just wants to make sure that other people who live in his neighborhood know what happened and are careful in case the men try to pull a stunt like this again.
