Capital murder suspects meet judge
Alexis Torres, Williams Rodrigues, Jonathan Bolz accused of killing Omar Malik
Suspects in man's slaying appear in court
Three men accused of killing a man in Spring in December appeared in court Monday.
Alexis Torres, 19, Williams Jhonathan Rodrigues, 19, and Jonathan Bolz, 19, have been charged with capital murder.
Harris County Sheriff's deputies said the trio shot and killed Omar Malik during a robbery on Dec. 30.
Malik was found shot to death in the street in front of his home on Sloangate near Harpergate in the Birnamwood subdivision.
Neighbors said they saw Malik arrive home and park his car. A few minutes later, they heard gunshots, and saw another vehicle speed away.
According to investigators, the trio followed Malik home and intended to steal his car.
Detectives said the gun used to kill Malik was found in Bolz's SUV.
Prosecutors said they also have surveillance video from a home near the scene that shows the three men pulling up to Malik's home before he was shot.
The three men were arrested Friday and are being held in the Harris County Jail without bond.
