CHANNELVIEW, Texas -

Three burglary suspects were arrested in the Channelview area after their getaway vehicle ran out of gas.

The suspects have been accused of kicking in doors and burglarizing two homes on Monday.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said the first incident happened around 9 a.m at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Ashland.  The suspects stole a television set from an apartment, officials said.  Someone inside the apartment tried to chase them, but they got away in a red Jeep, deputies said.

About half an hour later, the same group kicked in the door to a home located in the 800 block of Doncrest, investigators said. They forced the homeowner into a closet, and then ransacked her home, detectives said.

A Harris County sheriff's deputy on patrol spotted the suspects and their vehicle nearby.  Their car had run out of gas.
Kassandra Beltran, 17, Raymond Paige, 19, and Kolby Fleeks, 20, were arrested. They have been charged with burglary of a habitation, and are being held at the Harris County jail.

Deputies said they later learned the victim in the second burglary is Beltran's aunt.
