Thieves broke into one Houston woman's home two times over the course of a week.
Amanda Bezemek said it first happened Tuesday. Bezemek, who lives on Nichole Woods Drive in the City Park subdivision in south Houston, said she noticed a man talking on his phone outside her home.
"Heard some loud knocking on the door. Kinda ignored it. Nobody expected it. I didn't answer the door. About 30 minutes later, my dogs are going crazy," she said.
Bezemek said the man ran off on Tuesday.
The next day, thieves broke into her garage and stole some of her tools.
"I think the worst part is just the violation of my sense of security and piece of mind. It's just really kind of scary," said Bezemek.
Bezemek said she filed a police report after the burglary. But the thieves didn't stop.
"The following day, went to get a cup of coffee and got a call from Houston Police Department that my house had been broken into again and this time they had kicked in the backdoor," she said.
The thieves stole two cameras, three computers, and nearly all of her jewelry.
"They should probably think about getting a job to make money instead of stealing from people. This is a really great neighborhood. We're working hard to keep our homes," said Bezemek.
If you have any information about the burglaries, call Houston police.
