Boy hit by car near school
An eighth-grade student was struck by a vehicle on his way to school Friday.
Officials said a vehicle was making a left turn when it hit the boy in front of Timberwood Middle School, 18450 Timber Forest Drive, at 7:45 a.m.
The boy suffered a possible broken leg and facial bruises.
He was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver stopped to check on the boy. It's not yet known if a citation will be issued.
The accident is under investigation.
