Big rig catches fire on Southwest Freeway

A big rig caught fire Wednesday on the Southwest Freeway, shutting down two lanes.
The 18-wheeler caught fire on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of Highway 59 near West Bellfort at 9:30 a.m.
Firefighters blocked two lanes of the freeway while they doused the flames. The lanes remained closed at 10:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
