Baytown teen shines on "The Voice"
Rae Lynn talks about being on 'The Voice'
Forty thousand people auditioned but only 48 will appear on NBC's "The Voice," and one of those select few is a local teen.
All of America got to see Baytown teen Rae Lynn sing and play the guitar. She said signing on a huge stage like that was intimidating, but she tried not to let herself get nervous.
"I just had to take a deep breath and walk out there," she told Local 2. "If I thought, 'Rae Lynn, you are about to sing in front of a million people and Adam Levine and Blake Shelton,' I probably would have fainted right there."

Singing since she was a child growing up in Baytown, Rae Lynn said appearing on "The Voice" was a dream come true.
"Right when I started singing the crowd was amazing," she said. "They responded so well."
She sang a song by country artist Miranda Lambert, the wife of "Voice" judge Blake Shelton. Some would say it was a risky move, but Shelton loved it.
"I can't wait for Miranda to hear your version of that song," he said on the show.
Now Rae Lynn is part of his team—exactly where she said she wants to be.
"I love Blake and I love Miranda Lambert, so for him to turn around, that's who I wanted for sure," Rae Lynn said.
The winner gets a recording contract and is officially named, The Voice. Rae Lynn's family said they have no doubt she will do well in the competition and has a promising future as the next big country star.
