Baytown teen appears on 'The Voice'
Racheal Woodward's family said they knew from a young age she was going to be a star, now they get to watch the 17-year-old compete on NBC's hit show 'The Voice.'
"I think she was five or six when she told my mom she wanted to be a country singer like Dolly Parton," said Lana Holtz, Woodward's oldest sister.
"She knew what she wanted from an itty bitty girl," said her aunt Cyndy Mooring, "and she went for it."
She's still going for it. On stage Woodward goes by the name Rae Lynn, the same name her family called her growing up in Baytown.
Woodward graduated from Southeast Christian Academy and has been singing her entire life.
She auditioned this past summer in Nashville and was chosen to appear on the show right after the Super Bowl.
"We're all super excited," said Lauren Cowan, Woodward's sister, "she's got a big fan base in Baytown."
