A bank robbery suspect was arrested after a brief chase on Monday.
Harris County sheriff's deputies said a man held up the Woodforest Bank inside the Walmart in the 13700 block of the East Freeway about 4 p.m.
The man walked up to a teller and demanded cash, detectives said. The robber said he had a weapon, but he didn't show it to the teller, investigators said.
Deputies put out a description of the suspect and Houston police caught him along Dixie Road near Mykawa, about 11 miles away from the robbery, after a short pursuit, officials said.
The suspect's name has not been released.
No injuries were reported.
