Attorney in Chad Holley lawsuit withdraws from case
Teenager suing after arrest was caught on camera
Chad Holley has new attorneys in his federal civil rights lawsuit against several former Houston police officers for allegedly stomping on his neck in an arrest that was caught on camera.
Holley's attorney, Ben Hall, has withdrawn from the case. Court documents show Hall requested to be removed, but no reason was given. The documents show Holley now has new attorneys.
The suit was filed against several HPD officers involved in Holley's March 2010 arrest.
Four HPD officers were criminally charged in connection with the case and were fired by the department the same day.
Andrew Blomberg was acquitted in May 2012. The other officers are now awaiting trial.
