Andre Johnson buys Christmas gifts for needy kids
December is a time for giving, and that's just what Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson did on Tuesday.
Johnson took 12 local children in need on a Toys R Us for a shopping spree.
In just 80 seconds, carts were filled with toys and electronics.
"A dream house, a horse, Rapstar, dream light," Makena Fruia said she put in her basket.
Ladavion Stringer was excited to grab toys for him and his siblings.
"Stuff for my brothers and sisters. I like to read a lot," he said
For Jeff Schultz and his family of 6, it was a day to remember.
"My wife lost her job and Christmas was looking bleak," Schultz said.
Johnson said this was probably the Christmas event he looks forward to the most. He said it's better to give than to receive.
