American Airlines seats shake loose in flight
Airline inspecting 47 planes
American Airlines expects results soon from an inspection of 47 aircrafts after three incidents involving loose seats.
The most recent incident involved a New York to Miami flight, where a row of seats began moving around during the trip.
According to American Airlines, the loose seat incidents are mechanical problems.
"I been flying American the last 10 years. Always good service," traveler John Zhang said.
Americans Airlines also confirmed that a row of seats aboard a Boeing 757 en route to Vail, Colo. from the Dallas/ Fort Worth area came loose in mid flight last week. The third incident involved a flight from Boston to Miami.
According to American, it has conducted an investigation of eight planes, including all three involved in the incidents.
Some of the aircrafts involved recently underwent a seat reconfiguration to create extra leg room, according to a company spokesman.
