Alleged Houston stash house for immigrants raided

HOUSTON -

Federal officials have detained several dozen suspected illegal immigrants following a raid on an alleged stash house near Houston.

As many as 48 people were found crowded into the three-bedroom home Monday night, including four suspected smugglers.

Officials say the immigrants included more than a dozen children.

Authorities say the immigrants removed from the home will get medical evaluations and be interviewed to determine their immigration status. Further details on the investigation weren't immediately available Tuesday.
